You’ve probably heard of the biggest change that has happened to Facebook Fan Pages recently. ?It’s kind of a big thing but is it enough to sway people from Facebook? Will Facebook keep the marketplace lead or succumb to other social media outlets such as Google Plus, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, or YouTube?? Is A Facebook Fan Page Necessary for Online Success in your business?
In today’s post, I’ll show you if Facebook Fan Pages are Necessary for Online business, as well as the offline business?model as well. ?After all, you want to know the best way and most the shortest way to profitability in your business.
Facebook for Offline Business

For those in the brick and mortar world of business, I congratulate you for staying the course. ?I know it’s been a rough road and perhaps it’s still a rough road, which is why you’re researching to see if Facebook can help you or if it’s just a time suck.
The first and most important question you must get answered is how do you get targeted buyers from the online world to your offline store, or maybe you have an online presence as well. I’ll discuss this as well later in the post.
What’s the purpose of a Facebook Fan Page?
Most online businesses use the fan page to get more fans and followers. ?These are people that they can count on to view their posts and interact with them in business. ?So this is where you want to start. The algorithm that Facebook uses is always changing. Lately, this means less engagement. ?However, the more fans you get the better off you will be in the advertising realm of Facebook.
The best people to advertise to are your fans. ?Plain and simple. ?They have let you know they like your business and are interested in what you have to offer. ?So now you get to advertise to them.
The first thing you want to do is set up your Facebook fan page and place about 10 posts on your fan page. ?You want something there for people to view before they like your page. ?This is very much like having?furniture in your home before showing it. ?Also, make sure your page has a profile picture and banner set up and ready to give you the professional look.
Advertising on Facebook
Now you’re ready to advertise your business on Facebook. ?the best part about Facebook is that you can target people that live in your city or area to come over to your store. ?If you have a specialty store, segment your advertising to them for greater response.
HINT: ?If you don’t already use the Google Chrome browser, It’s very highly suggested that you get it and start using it for Facebook Marketing.
Facebook marketing (paid ads) can have a learning curve and that curve can dig into your pocketbook as much as you let it. ?So, stay on top of your spending with Facebook. This includes where and how you market your product.
There is a good thing about Facebook marketing, and that is you can start with as little as $1/day. ?The suggested small limit of $5 is just a suggestion for those just starting out.? This allows you to see what is a big hit in the marketplace and what’s not.
Using Google Chrome As Your Default Browser With Facebook Marketing
The point here I’m making is probably well over-done but it’s an important point. ?You can continue using your favorite browser but you will not be allowed to use the power editor.
Here’s my thought on the subject of creating a new fan page in the beginning stages of your business and why you may or may not need one.
I’ll see you
What Are The Drawbacks Of A Facebook Fan Page?
So if you’re like me and probably most of the human population, you are thinking about the down-side to any business decision.? Facebook has free stuff to use for your business.??
Nothing in this world is free.? There’s always a cost, beit financial or time.

Using a Facebook page as it’s called today is a great decision for any business entrepreneur.? The drawback is that you will be lured into paying money to get your post seen by much more of your ‘already subscribed’ audience.??
This has been a big issue with Facebook Fan Pages for a couple years not.? Facebook wants you to pay to play essentially.
The first drawback is you are going to be lured into paying to have your posts seen by your subscribers or those that like your page.
The other drawback that I have seen is that there is going to be an additional time draw on your already busy schedule to create posts and engage with your following.
Does this mean you leave your personal page to merely just wilt due to a lack of posting?
Facebook Fan Group Marketing Strategy
What should you do when you’ve sent up your Facebook Page?

I’d take a huge tip from Pat Flynn and start growing your Facebook Group.
I don’t want to confuse you by throwing in information on a group but…
There’s quite a bit of great information you can use in the video for your page as well.?
As you learn the in’s and out’s of marketing you’ll also learn what’s a great post and what’s not.
Those lessons will teach you how to gain organic popularity causing you to essentially “beat the system”.? Facebook rewards those who post about things people want to hear about, learn about, or be entertained by.
One way to “beat the system” is to promote other blog posts or articles that provide value and through a branding system like this one, and put your business banner on any page you’re sharing with your audience.
It’s like advertising on places like entrepreneur.com or any other high ranking website for FREE.
