- You’re always waiting for permission to do the next thing. ?Whether you’re asking for permission to make money or to do another blog post. ?Permission never needs to be given to an entrepreneur. ?This is where creativity is squelched.
- The amateur always has a million things to do and they all start tomorrow. ?Yet another reason why nothing ever gets done in the amateurs world of entrepreneurship.
- Addicted to Failure. ?Failure gets you out of jail and gets you off the hook. ?It’s the failure that says, “I tried but it didn’t work so it must be a scam”.
- Addicted to distractions. ?Facebook, twitter, smart phone apps, you name it on the phone and it can and will be a distraction. ?This is the #1 enemy of progress.
- Terrified with Fear of success, failure, loneliness, death, being excluded from the tribe, pretty much EVERYTHING. ?It’s a paralysis analysis.
- Lives by the opinions of others or you care what other people think about you and what you are doing.
- Seeks instant gratification and/or satisfaction.

The Other Million Ideas Can Wait
It’s almost like clockwork. ?People get started with a home business, and then the ideas flood their thoughts about what to do next and what if this and what if that. ?I, too have had these very things happen to me. ?But it was when I decided to get laser focused and just plan my work to get to my goals that I was able to start making traction in my business. Have you ever heard the phrase, “plan your work then work your plan”? ?This is exactly what will cure those thoughts of wanting to do too much.
We are created to focus on one thing at a time. ?If you get distracted, you’re putting yourself in a place lacking of?productivity. Those squirrel moments are cute but not funny.
Terrified From Success?
Sabotage.
Mindset too small.
Waiting for approval.
These are just a few roadblocks we put in our way to success. ?Truthfully, we are all born successful. ?The struggle happens when we get programmed from our parents at first, then society reinforces those beliefs that it is a struggle to be who we really are – and that we need approval to be the very person that is unique to this world.
The biggest thing that will help you is to start reading books that cause you to be a better person.? I found that this strategy alone will exponentially grow your mindset and help you remove signs you’re amateur.

In the beginning of my career as an online marketer, I thought that if I do exactly what the leaders are telling me to do I would be successful. ?I never stopped to think about how they are doing their methods that makes them successful. ?During my day job I was being trained to do exactly as my manager wanted things to be done or I would get in some sort of trouble. ?There’s always that looming threat of losing your job in some way or another.
That’s just not the case when you own your own business. ?The only thing you have to keep on track is being creative. ?This is where you ask yourself as an entrepreneur, “Who’s paying my bills?” ?This will give you a new perspective and motivation to be the person that is the leader of your company. ?Yes, I said LEADER.
Leaders make much more money than followers do. ?Have you noticed that in life? ?Perhaps you did but never really put much thought to this truth. ?So start stepping into your role of leader today and remove those signs you’re an amateur in home business.
CHALLENGE:
Do something today that positions yourself as a leader. ?Make it something that you would not normally do. ?A good example is to start speaking up on a mastermind you’re a part of with your group. ?You can alternatively start making videos on your choice of social media outlets. ?HUGE TIP: ?Go live! ?Every social outlet has the option of going live now. Use it!
There’s one last item. ?Most people see no sense in doing things that I mentioned above if there’s not a way to make money. ?So if you’re merely checking out the pitfalls of home business, great!? You’re on your way to being more knowledgeable about home business.

How I Stopped Being The Amateur Entrepreneur
It’s really helped me become a better person not really as fearful as I once was in this big world.? I realized how much I needed to work on myself as a person and an entrepreneur. ?I think the worst one for me was #5 (but not all parts of it). But then, #4 was a close 2nd.
