How to Set Up?Your Major Definite Purpose
So, you’re on a mission and you want to accomplish your version of success but you’re not sure where to start, what to do, who to talk to, or how to get this done.
Understandable because I’ve been there.
So let’s get one thing straight before we start.
You’re going to need to commit to whatever it is that you want. ?It’s going to be more of a commitment than you think at first…
…however, IT WILL GET EASIER!
So what does this statement look like?
Here’s a start to the Major definite purpose. ?Notice, you’re going to be very specific to what you are accomplishing to the point of what your future self is thinking, seeing, hearing, etc.

There is definitely a right and a wrong way to create your MDP, but the most important thing is that you do this step in the very beginning. ?I’d suggest a couple of things to do when creating your document.
Location, Location, Location
First, find a quiet and distraction-free area in your home or where ever you would go to have some quiet time. ?This includes any electronics that you could be tempted to pick up. ?You don’t need any distractions – yet.
After finding yourself in a place of peace and quiet, begin to think about what you want out of life, business, or the goal at hand.
It could be something like the following:
I want to make $10,000 in the next 90 days, or I want the campaign to reach 1,000 people for cancer research.
Time Specific
Set up a goal that you want to happen in a very specific time period. ?For instance, you could say, that your goal will be complete on Thursday, March 5th, 2015 at 3 pm. ?This will give you a focus that you may never have experienced before.
Next, make sure you are realistic in your goal so that you will succeed. ?What you want to do is create a plan on how to get there – but this comes after you have your MDP set in stone. ?Remember you can adjust your plans to meet your goals faster make every effort to stay the course of your goal / MDP. ?Some people would say that this is playing it safe. ?I disagree because you want to set yourself up for success noa t failure. ?Failure is acceptable in business and everyday life because it’s how we learn and through learning, we can adjust to help us get to our goals.
