Video marketing can be very intimidating. There are so many different things that you need to know. However, it’s a necessity if you want to be successful.

So if you’re in a marketing business of some sort, you may want to start making videos. What the pros tell you is that if you are in the least bit fearful of making a video, you should pull out your phone and pretend you are making the video, even if you don’t post them.  Starting somewhere is exactly where the person(s) you follow started.

Heck!  I started doing videos and found them very intimidating because the camera was not a person that could respond back to what I was saying. So, what I did was to jump on into the video by putting myself directly in front of my camera or phone.  In my mind, it didn’t matter the quality in the beginning. It was that I was taking a step each and every day to become better than the day before.

So if you’re in business and afraid of what people will think, or whatever reason you put in your head to excuse you from doing videos, know you’re not alone. Your goal is to make marketing videos which is just another way to say you are providing value to your customers.

What is Considered “Value”?

Get on camera in some way and provide value, show yourself, be personable.

Value is anything from showing your lifestyle off to solving a problem which you may have the answer, to writing out your feelings so that others can see them – and feel validated.

I and many others tend to focus on solving problems for people – because there’s one truth that we all want living on this planet.

Ok…well maybe there are more truths to list…

  • There is a wrong and a right answer, and if you have the right answer you will get more attention in your video marketing.
  • There is no such thing as over saturated topics to do a video on. Have you noticed that some of the videos you watch are not done the way you would have done them? Put your own spin on the topic with your personality.

In the short video at the beginning of the post are some more ideas to practice in your video marketing. Those that are frightened of the very thought of a camera and being on camera should start by doing videos for themselves.

You can do as short or as long of a video you like. The key is to be able to watch your video and accept what you see. Some of you that are perfectionists will have more problems with this than most. This isn’t a bad thing though. You probably jump in and make all the mistakes. Faster than those with the perfectionist bent.

The Biggest tip I can give to you right now is to start now, take a deep breath and enjoy the ride. The last point here is to post them to your Facebook, YouTube, and other social media sites. Even if you are just asking for people’s opinions on your efforts.

Do Not Delete Your Videos In The Beginning.

When you jump in with abandon, you’ll start to notice your immediate improvement and you will get more results this way. The key here is to never delete your videos in the beginning – nor when you are advanced.

You will get views on your videos and if you delete them, that will take away some of your channel juice.

  • If your goal is to have videos done efficiently, use your cell phone and upload directly to any video hosting site. Otherwise, if you have time, edit your video and make it look professionally done.
  • Use a place that is busy in the background. Our minds are very busy and can “soak” in information faster than you can speak it. ?

Those tips should help you get started in your video marketing and improve your subscription base, both on your blog and your video social profiles.

The face of business failure is still that little squirrel going from deal to deal and then when that face has decided to be happy with the current deal, there’s no focus and passion about it.  That, my friend, is why people suck at marketing, and at building a business.  They think that if the deal isn’t going to make money the first month they ain’t gonna stick around.

I’ve been saying to myself that same thing for a few years and it didn’t get me anywhere.  So my tune has changed and wouldn’t you know, I’m getting places within my business and seeing results that I previously never saw.

2. Change Your Speech

Well if you’ve been living here on this planet for a while, and have also paid attention to the buzz.  You would know that it’s truly the words that we speak that are so very powerful.  

My upbringing was one that was positive when I was on the baseball field all throughout my days as a teenager.  Growing up playing sports was huge in my development as a person.  We never spoke negativity and always supported each other.

It was as if there was an unwritten code within our team that we all kept each other up and never spoke depressing emotions to each other.

This very team would end up in the Senior Babe Ruth National Title game in 1988.  They did it.  Played to a championship.  Unfortunately this is when I took a detour in my life and was not able to play on that team for my last eligible year.

So in your business, start to be positive and speak into your world what you want.  Your words are powerful.  More powerful than you know.

If you want to make more sales, start telling yourself that you attract more sales.  Be more specific, like “I make 3 sales a day in my online business”

3. Never give up

I know… you have heard this so many times before that it makes you want to plug your ears when someone says it.  (that’s why I wrote it down for you to read it …. lol)

It’s true.  Never, ever give up on your dreams.  You’re created for greatness and to that end, you have things that you need to accomplish that NOBODY on this planet can do better than you.

Perhaps you’re doing something right now that you feel like you have to prove to yourself that you can be successful in.  Go ahead and do that but know that if you decide to stop what you are doing now.  It does not mean that you have given up or quit.  

What this really means is that you’ve found what your passion is and that is when true success really comes flooding into your life.

What To Do Next?

My suggestion is to start to focus on changing your inside game.  Learn how to propel your business success story to bigger things each day, week, month, and year.  That’s the only way to hit those goals.

I was once of the mindset that I could set a goal 90 days out and because I set that goal, I would just go about doing the things that I have always done.

Let me tell you the truth here…

You will always get what you have always received with the efforts and work that you have always put in.  In other words, change what you do and you will receive the change you put in.

You can start changing your inside by reading books. Also, by hanging out with people who are better (in your opinion) than you both in personality, financially, and then be friends with the friends you hang out with.  This is social networking before social media came into play.

How To Get Lazy Members To Produce In Your Business

There are thousands upon thousands of people in a top producers business, and to be quite honest, they need every one of them to make the money they are making.  But what if they could get those members that are “lazy” to start producing in their business?

I, personally think that this is an area that many make the mistake of trying to “encourage” these people, rather than being the type of person that just goes and steps into the leadership role by recruiting more people. Leadership by example.

Step One: Mindset Of A Leader

The first thing you’ll need to change is removing the word lazy from your vocabulary. It’s not like they are going to do something different from what you have preconceived them to do. For instance, if you have a neighbor that is very grouchy or just messy – you could insert anything that is really not that desirable of a trait to have.

Joe, in this case, is quite grouchy and he’s walking towards you in your front yard. What’s the first thing that comes out of your mouth?

“Oh, No! Here comes grumpy Joe and I do not like dealing with him when he comes around.”

You are essentially giving him or her a destiny to live up to whether you want that or not. Your words are very powerful because your subconscious listens to you 24 hours a day. So what you can change about this situation is simple.

Start to say things that are life-giving rather than speaking negativity. This one change alone will give you the change in your business that you’re looking for in a quicker fashion.

Lazy Becomes The Possibility Marketer

Now if you’re going to foster a great relationship with these marketers that haven’t produced any results, you might as well start encouraging them and when they come to you asking about building a business, you can respond with some homework.

Give them something to do that is going to help them get off the floor of their business and get some action started.

How To Be Instrumental In Change

If network marketing is the venue, then tell them to go prospect 5-10 new people who are not friends or family.  Give them some traffic methods if they aren’t willing to go out and talk to people.  If they are in internet marketing, have them message at least 25 people and come back with results of 10 or more responses and how the conversations went.  Just think outside the box and realize that most people are starting out with an employee mindset.

Facebook allows me to connect with my following and friends and family using Facebook Live.  Video has been a huge reason I’m making headway in my business.  If you don’t start doing video in some fashion, you’ll get left behind.

Talking To People Online

Blogging has been a journey of learning from trial and error for me.  I’d recommend you get a blog setup if you want your reach to expand.

If you don’t have a blog yet, you’ll want to begin setting this great tool up for your online marketing.  Don’t forget that you can use this blog for offline reference as well (e.g. business cards, license plate frames, mobile magnet signs, etc.)

Why?

Your blog is your only home on the internet.  It’s there that you’ll be able to showcase YOU.  Give people a reason to do business with you.

Sure, you say that Facebook is free and they allow you to do whatever you want within reason.  That may be so for now.  But, you should understand that they can and do remove business pages for even a hint of wrongdoing.  That also goes for doing business on your personal profile.

Self-hosted blogs are the best option to have in your corner.  If you have never set up a blog before, that’s ok.  There’s help to set up your hosting and WordPress blog.

Most Secure Way To Move iPhone Video To Your Mac

Are you having difficulties getting the video files off of your iPhone and onto your MAC computer to edit in ScreenFlow?  Some do have a trouble getting this step complete. I believe this is the best thing to do in order to save space on your phone. So let’s dig in and learn how to Move iphone video to Mac

1.  Connect the iPhone to the computer through the USB Cable.
2.  Go down to the finder area.  Click on Applications and select Image Capture
3.  Choose your iPhone and select the video file to import.
4.  Open ScreenFlow and insert the file you just imported.

These are the simple steps to move iPhone video to Mac and free up space on your iPhone.

If you do not have an iPhone, Get an iPhone.  When you use this investment for your business, it is a tax write off!  (Consult your tax professional.)

This post is mainly for users of the older generation iPhone 4, 5, and some of the iPhone 6’s.  The only reason you would need to move iPhone video to Mac is if you’re shooting video all day long and using 4k resolution. This becomes a problem if your iPhone is 128GB or less.

How To Stretch Your Memory On Your iPhone

If you’d like to avoid the Move iPhone video to Mac.  You’ll want to change the defaults in your settings from 4k to 1080P.

To do this, go to Settings > Camera > Record Video.  The choices will be listed as follows on iOS devices with version 11.3

  • 720P HD @ 30fps
  • 1080P HD @ 30fps
  • 1080P HD @ 60fps
  • 4k @ 24fps
  • 4k @ 30fps
  • 4k @ 60fps

This is what is listed on my iPhone 8 Plus.  Depending on your model of iPhone, you may have more or less of these options.  My default is set at 1080p @ 30 frames per second.

What is FPS?

For those that have not delved into the video creation world, you will start seeing more references to “FPS” and of course the 720p, 1080p, 4k, 5k references.

To help you make a decision on which to choose, start by deciding where you’re going to show your video.

  • Is it just on your phone or on a flat screen?
  • Is the flat screen going to have 4k or 5k capability?
  • Are you planning your video for social media?
  • What social media outlet are you planning your video for?  YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, LinkedIn?

All these questions need to be answered for you to make the best choice when deciding which setting to choose for your default.

Another Quick iPhone Video Tip

Normally, when you are making a video from the iPhone, you have to click on the photo button to start the recording.  Did you know that you can also use the volume controls on the side of the phone to start and stop the video?  This feature makes it much easier to hold the phone while recording yourself.

Overcome Scam or Pyramid Scheme Objections

This Is A “(Fill In The Blank Objection)”

If you’re in business, you’ve probably heard many responses as to why they won’t join you in business. But you need to know that it’s not the end of the journey for your prospect. In today’s post, we are going to tackle how to overcome scam or pyramid scheme objections.

Here are a couple of retorts, if you will, that you could ask them.

Of course, do this in a manner that says to them that you care about them and would never WILLINGLY mislead them.

  1. Ask them the question: “Do you have a job?”. Most of the time, they are going to say yes. If they don’t have a job, ask them what they do for a living.
    • The point of this line of questioning is to show them that they are already in a pyramid system that is rapidly changing. As a result, you can then show them how we are now in a digital world.
  2. Ask if they have been paying attention to how difficult it is to trade time for money. This is a question to build your authority. You know something that they need to learn about (online or offline presence).
  3. Ask them if they are willing open thier mind to new possibilities. If they cannot see themselves jumping in and learning, then show them this video

This Is A Scam

If you receive a retort from someone who you are trying to scam them into buying. Right off you probably should ask yourself, how much do you want a person that is quick on the draw to distrust what you do?

The other consideration is that when they do come back with this objection, it’s mainly out of fear. Fear comes from many instances.

This is where you find out if you can move forward with prospecting them or if you just need to move on and forward.

Ask these questions:

  • Is this a reaction based because of fear of losing money?
  • Does this person not trust people who want to help them? So everything is a scam to them.
  • What is their motivation for wanting to start a home business?

Find out a little more about them and see if you can find out why they respond like they have to you. Because the whole idea here is to find out how you can overcome scam or pyramid scheme objection they have tossed out at you.

Why The Scam or Pyramid Objection Is Presented

There is a deeper issue going on here when the objection of a pyramid or scam comes up. Typically, they have either been a part of or heard someone gets taken for their money if the customer is claiming your business is a scam.

If we were to delve a bit deeper into the scam objection, you’ll see that the customer does not trust you…

..YET!

If you’re willing to put some effort into gaining their trust, you will have a customer and perhaps a great friend!

On the pyramid side of things, it’s just a matter of showing the prospect that they are already in a system built on pyramids. It’s called the industrial age where people show up to work every day. Putting in their 8-12 hours of work for hourly pay.

The only thing that has changed is that we have moved to the digital age and the potentially wealthy are learning how to leverage their time to make themselves rich both in time and financially.

What You’re Saying To The Prospect.

So, the choice is theirs (or yours if the shoe fits).

Learn the way to wealth and prosperity or continue getting what you’ve always been receiving.

Most people are not happy with what they are bringing in, so they look in other avenues to increase. I believe that’s why uber and other services are so popular. Because it’s the belief that they don’t have to sell anything to receive an extra income.

How else would a driver for Uber get a tip? They are selling their service to the rider. If the ride was pleasant, the driver is more likely to get a tip from the rider. Even a good write up for the driver is great with a 5 star rating. When we are in business for ourselves, we depend on testimonials and word of mouth advertising.

Now if you’re already selling at every turn but you’re not willing to recognize that you are selling, You should just embrace it and work with what you know. Be honest and never mislead a customer.

  7. Seeks instant gratification and/or satisfaction.

It’s almost like clockwork. ?People get started with a home business, and then the ideas flood their thoughts about what to do next and what if this and what if that. ?I, too have had these very things happen to me. ?But it was when I decided to get laser focused and just plan my work to get to my goals that I was able to start making traction in my business. In the beginning of my career as an online marketer, I thought that if I do exactly what the leaders are telling me to do I would be successful. ?I never stopped to think about how they are doing their methods that makes them successful. ?During my day job I was being trained to do exactly as my manager wanted things to be done or I would get in some sort of trouble. ?There’s always that looming threat of losing your job in some way or another.

That’s just not the case when you own your own business. ?The only thing you have to keep on track is being creative. ?This is where you ask yourself as an entrepreneur, “Who’s paying my bills?” ?This will give you a new perspective and motivation to be the person that is the leader of your company. ?Yes, I said LEADER.

Leaders make much more money than followers do. ?Have you noticed that in life? ?Perhaps you did but never really put much thought to this truth. ?So start stepping into your role of leader today and remove those signs you’re an amateur in home business.

There are always ways to manipulate your videos if you have a service like YouTube or you have your own server (which most don’t). ?So, this blog post is for people who want to control how their videos look on YouTube. ?I’ll show you through the steps to customizing your YouTube videos using YouTube embed codes that only YouTube supports. ?Do things that are upright and above-board so that you will be backed by YouTube if anything happens to your account.

That being said, here are some great ways to change the look of your YouTube videos.

First, we are going to start with the video that I’m placing on this blog post as?the base or example video. ?To insert a video on your blog or anywhere a web page is accepting embeds is to copy the embed code on YouTube, then paste it on the page you wish to share the video on.

Title Bar removal

This will remove the title from the top of the video. ?Go ahead and play the video and then watch at the top and you’ll see that the title is gone. ?The command that you need to put in the embed code will be at the end of the SRC portion of the code and INSIDE of the quotes

I found that adding this to my code when embedding is a good thing to do.
YouTube already gives people a plethora of?videos to watch when on their website.
However, adding this specific YouTube embed code will keep people focused on
your stuff that you provide on Yoursite.com.

Sure, there are those that will click the YouTube logo and then watch from
YouTube.com.? However, those are pretty negotiable.

MODEST BRANDING

Modest branding is YouTube’s way of saying, we will give you less “YouTube”
branding.? So all you will see is the YouTube logo?on the bottom right of the video
.? This is the option to use when using?YouTube embed codes on your blog.

START AT SPECIFIC TIME IN VIDEO

This option is for inserting a video and having the video start at a
specific time in the video. Most commonly used when pointing
out something?in a video.

HIDE CONTROLS

This is used when you do not want the viewer to have control
over the video. A classroom setting is a common place to see this,
or even in a video sales letter (capture page). youtube embed codes

Here’s the way to get all the branding (YouTube) off of your video.
This is not a 100% solution. However, it does remove about 95% of the

I believe there are 3 principles you should begin immediately practicing because doing them every time is tough.

Look into the lens during your Facebook LIVE, not at yourself.  if you are using a smartphone, that would be the small hole at the ear side of the phone when you’re talking on it..  if you are using any other type of digital camera, especially the ones that have the pop out screen so you can see yourself – Look at the lens.
  2. Talk to the video camera like it’s your best friend or family.  Make that personal connection through the camera lens.
  3. Use pattern interrupts to get your viewers to stay longer in your video.
  4. Keep your videos short.  That would be approximately 2-5 minutes when doing your videos on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram or snapchat

Facebook Live Video is a great tool for you to use in the coming year to exponentially grow your business.   But you have to start doing a video like you’re a pro.  Confidence is attractive and when you get these three principles down, you will start to see many more people get on your live videos. These principles are true no matter where you do video.  It doesn’t have to be on Facebook or YouTube.  Or even a LIVE!  video for that matter.

I used to think that you had to talk to people one on one to build a strong team of a 1000 people.? This was back when I first started in home business and didn’t know any better.? I think though, people shy away from paid traffic because they view it as a purchase and the product they expect to see are things like leads and sales.? There are new people who make money and experienced people who do not make money. The one common trait that keeps people from making money is not knowing how to close a sale.? So what exactly are IPA’s?? As you see the title above you may start to think of the things that you would list under that label.? However, I think the real IPA’s are as follows

  • Finding and running quality traffic
  • Connecting with people about your business one on one – even if it’s on social media
  • Showing people how you run your business and the benefits of your business.

That’s pretty much all you need to do.? IPA’s are simple and repeatable.

However, there’s a few other methods you can put in there, such as blogging, social media, banner advertising, solo ads, and any other method you choose to run traffic.? Just remember to choose ONE and master it.? I mean that with all my heart.? I think I could be the poster child for trying as many traffic methods as I can without mastering any of them.

Stick with your IPA’s and do not veer from them.? Your family will appreciate you more for doing that and you’ll get to enjoy life more as well.? It’s a win-win situation for everyone.

Most of you have seen some videos with no button other than the play button.? YouTube embed codes are in place for you, the user to change the look of your videos. You may have thought these accounts or people who own these accounts may have some sort of special privileges with YouTube.

Actually, there is one thing that they have a general account which only takes about 15 minutes of time on your part to achieve. ?It’s all about verification.

The verification is to put you in a partner account status. ?other than that, you only need to know some code, which I’ll show you below.

Update:? most of the embed commands are now located in the embed area of each video and can be turned off and on by simply selecting and deselecting a box.

NOTE:?It’s important to realize that these commands will only work when sharing videos on YouTube to another WordPress?site or social media site. ?For the most part, places like Facebook, Twitter, and the like will have their own preferred video solution and so using these commands are generally for use when sharing to a blog that you already own and operate.

This is the easiest modification to use as far as aesthetics are concerned. ?If removing the title from the video is the only item that you wish to remove then you should use this command.

Modest Branding

remove the majority of the YouTube branding, add the following to your embed URL string:?&modestbranding=1

For the majority of my videos that I share or place on my blog post since January 2016, you’ll see this type of video theme applied. I’m a big fan of clean edges and not much in the way of controls popping up to distract the user to move away from the video I’m sharing.

AutoPlay Video

To set the embedded video to auto-play, just add the following to the embedded URL string:?&autoplay=1

Use this option with care. I say this because not every video will you need to auto-play. ?Mostly you’ll want to use this on a capture page, or perhaps a post that the video is the only focal point of the blog post. ?other than that, you’ll want to make sure to leave it up to the reader to push the play button.

Hide Related Videos Display at End of Videos

To hide the related videos, add the following to the embedded URL string:?&rel=0

This is one of those that you may want to consider using all the time unless you do not care what type of video comes up after your video has finished. ?Remember, if you run a blog and you’re embedding a video, you want to have the reader stay on your blog for as long as you can keep them there reading your content.

Hide Controls

To hide the YouTube player controls, such as fast forward, rewind, skip, and time line. Add the following to the embedded URL string:?&controls=0.? Or simply use the check box as in the case below.

Hiding the YouTube player controls at the bottom of the video is a feature of a capture page. ?Only use this on videos that you want the listener to have no control on skipping around the video or fast forwarding through the video.

Start at Specific Time in Video

To start video at a certain spot, just add the following to your embed URL string:?&start=x?(x=seconds from the beginning)

The last one that I will share with you on this topic is one that I don’t see too many reasons to use, but it’s there so that you can use this option. ?It’s the option to start a video at a specific starting point in the video.

    His website proclaims that his first love is acoustic rock.  He is also a singer-songwriter and loves to experiment with other styles of music.

    The name alone lends to thoughts of music making in the home or at a place of business. So, when I saw this website I first looked at the layout of the website and then the music selection. All looks great!

    This site is not a free music site, however. It charges for each song and gives you several different formats to download the song in. For example, one of the songs that you could download costs $39. But for Royalty Free Music For YouTube Videos – which means you can do with the song as you please – that’s not bad at all!

This video that I made is the first of my video challenge and is titled, “A Simple Mindset Strategy That Drives You Straight To Success”.? I’ve since changed the title so that it will get more views.? The job of a marketer and a blogger is to tell others about your product.? If you’re not getting views, then your message is not being seen.? That can be directly linked back to the titles you’re putting on your blog posts, YouTube videos (any videos really), and social media posts.

Basically, if you’re wanting to have a post go viral you need to have a viral title as well.

I digress…

Simple Mindset Strategy Hacks To Avoid

Here’s a quick list of traits that will hold success out of your lap.? Even if you seem to be successful, are you able to remove one of these traits further to enjoy even greater success?

  1. ?Fear

    Fear is probably enemy #1 on everyone’s list.? I know personally, that fear has made my life more difficult than it really should have been.? Bowing to fear has stopped so many destinies.? Let’s make a pact that fear has no grip on our decision making from here on out.? Fair enough?

    That being said, if you’re not moving forward, you’ll need to ask yourself where you’re letting fear in.? I’m a big believer in doing things that are productive in a timely fashion.? That, to me, means almost immediately.? If I’m not able to do them immediately, I’ll make it a point to write it down or put it on my reminders list on my phone.

  2. Procrastination

    This one simple mindset strategy has its roots in fear.? But it’s also one of those traits that you can do something about it right away (rather than procrastinating… LOL)

    The best way to rid yourself of procrastination is to be just like Nike.? Just Do It.? If you analyze your schedule, you’ll soon find out that most of your items that go on your list are things that are small and can be done immediately.

    If you put this into practice, not only will you feel better, but you’ll also get more done.

  3. Social Skills

    This is not too common, but this trait does exist in our world.

    However, most of the time its due to a bad upbringing, abuse, some sort of disease that impairs those skills or personality trait that was present from birth.? If you know you have to work on your social skills, there are support groups and programs that are set up to help improve social skills.

  4. Mindset

    First of all, if you follow this blog at all, you know that mindset is HUGE in achieving success.? If you have a bad mindset, you can do all the other things right and your mindset will somehow, someway sabotage your success.

    The great thing about our minds is that we have the control of what we believe.? I’ve read a book called “The Secrets of the Millionaire Mindset” by T. Harv Eker.? He states in the very beginning of the book, that you should never believe what he says nor should you believe anything you say either.

    In other words, always be listening to your thoughts but never believe them until you have good reason to do so.? I believe vetting would be the proper term for what I’m conveying to you.

  5. Environment

    It’s been said that you are the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with in life.

    So, if you spend your time around people who are broke or have a terrible mindset, you too, will be the average of that environment.

    Granted this one can be argued as not being a trait.? However, I believe that if it affects you in some way, it can be argued that it is a trait.

  6. Perfectionism?

    Do you have experience being a perfectionist?

    Perhaps you say that it’s what has helped you get where you are at today?

    That can be true but it seems like perfectionism can also make it tough to produce in the entrepreneurial genre.? This can and does hold many people back and away from the goal of success in life.

  7. Knowledge

    Simple yet a problem for some.? If you don’t know much about where you’re going, you’ll not get to any destination.

    Think about the airplane pilot.? 99% of the time, they start out in the WRONG DIRECTION.? They make adjustments according to the knowledge they gain and boom… the plane is on track to get to the destination they desire to get to – and most of the time – they are on time!
